Localized in Itajaí – State of Santa Catarina – distant 1.5 kilometers from the Municipal Harbor and Private Terminal.

It was established by the financial association of BMG Bank, headquartered in Brazil, and Frigoscândia, from Sweden, from whom it has acquired the know-how of technology of cold, starting the operations in 1980.

It works in the logistics of Exportations of frozen food destined for 78 countries, in which it is qualified. It was the first cold storage structure in Santa Catarina, created by the dynamic and futurist initiative of the major stockholder, Doctor Flávio Guimarães.

It is endowed with cold-storage rooms operating in the temperature of - 25°C enabled to store 37,000 tons of palletized products, providing a monthly turnover superior to 65,000 tons. It is the ware house which trades frozen food the most in Latin America.

Through a bidding, it obtained from to the Union the concession of :

“ EADIF – COLD STORAGE CUSTOMS STATION ”

In its annexes, besides the Federal Income, the Ministry of Cattle Agriculture and Supplies keeps the SIF - Federal Inspection Service number 2427 – proceeding permanently reinspection in the lots to export and issue of International Certification, in conformity with the sanitary demands of importer countries.

Brasfrigo works supported by fine technology in all stages of logistics operations. The stock control and the shipment programming are computerized with exclusively developed software.

For over 20 years it has kept active partnership with clients represented by the greatest Brazilian agroindustries, leaders in the food exportations, providing the world with proteins.

The company fulfills its social function as one of the most expressive tax-payers in the town of Itajaí. It joins to the success of the local harbor structure which holds the first place in the Brazilian exportations of frozen food.
